When the dream turns into a nightmare :
A surgical operation is not without risks and can lead to some complications ... Here are the general ones:
· Anesthesia. Whether general or local, anesthesia involves risks that must be exposed during the consultation. Its consequences are very variable: from a simple rash to death.
· Hemorrhage. Internal bleeding can be caused by the smallest effort. If the bleeding is not too great, it will resolve on its own, otherwise the surgeon will have to drain. In case of external bleeding: if the situation persists, the surgeon will probably have to reopen the incision.
· An infection. It often occurs a few days after the operation. If it worsens, it will be necessary to hospitalize.
· The scars. Any surgical procedure will leave a scar. From one individual to another, the process of healing will be more or less rapid (up to 3 years, usually 6 to 12 months) and will leave more or less traces. Originally fine and beautiful, the scar will become red and irritated after about 1 month and slowly evolve to its final stage by becoming white and flattened.
Psychological dangers of an intervention:
According to a survey by the University of Laval, published by the American Journal of Epistemology, having breast implants increases the suicide death rate by 73%. This is due to the increased fragility and low self-esteem of those who use cosmetic surgery. Indeed, many women would benefit more from a consultation with a psychologist than from a plastic intervention.
Images conveyed by the media arouse unrealistic dreams and sometimes these women suffer from a serious disappointment.
Often, this new physical appearance completely disrupts their balance and affects the mental health of practitioners of cosmetic surgery.
Above all, there is a risk of addiction and some women end up multiplying the interventions by completely obscuring their dangers.
Prevent risks:
-Make sure the surgeon is qualified: the practitioner must hold an authorization issued by the Council of the Order.
-Consult several surgeons, take different opinions in order to feel comfortable and to feel as good as possible before the procedure.
-Be wary of doctors in a hurry who give you a very quick appointment (generally respect a period of at least 15 days of reflection), as well as pubs that abound in the press because advertising is prohibited in the medical field so you will be dealing with non-professionals.
-Do not accept any intervention without prior estimate.
-Finally, be sure of yourself before taking the plunge and do not neglect any aspect of the procedure!
